50 States in 2010!

February 03, 2010 11:49.30 PM

From our January 11, 2010 e-newsletter:

Now, we're ready to get the decade rolling with a bold New Year's resolution to perform in all 50 states in 2010!

We're kicking the year off with shows in MA, RI, NJ, CT, NY, DC and MD, this month. And, we've already got IL, CA, PA, CO, OH and GA on our dance card for upcoming months. Plus, Alaska's in the works for March--stay tuned!

So, if yours isn't on the list yet, email us and get us to--or back to--your state!

Like how we chose a US map that's just blue, blue and bluer? In our 8 years together, we've performed in 36 states (and 5 countries outside of the US) and found progressive communities everywhere . . . even, Texas during the Bush Administration. By the way: Way to go Houston, whose newly sworn in mayor, Annise Parker is the first openly lesbian mayor of a major US city!

Still, there are 14 states we've never performed in together: South Carolina, Indiana, Louisiana, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Hawai'i. And that's where you can help! Send us an email with your ideas or forward this email to your friends and activist communities in those states.

Thanks!

http://www.kesharogers.com/ Kesha's a person with fire, heart, brains and backbone. She's going all out to make the District 22 Texas stand up for the general welfare mentioned in the Mayflower Compact and the preamble of our constitution. Two of her dear friends are running against Nancy Pelosi and Barney "Bail-out" Frank: Summer Shields and Rachel Brown respectively. These young people deserve your support. Thank you for your attention and for your hard work to support power for the people, I've been listening to you this evening on KVMR. Keep up the great work.

When are you coming to Ga. and where? Chattanooga Tennessee has some good concert venues. Would love for you to come to CHattanooga.

We'd love to have you come to Santa Fe. Even Albuquerque would be fine. What can I do to make it happen?

I would love it if you'd come to St. Louis. There are many places to play Blueberry Hill, Off-Broadway, Novaks and many I'm sure I'm not aware of. I'd love to see you guys live.
