40th Anniversary Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival

This will be MichFest’s final year. As the festival’s 40-year-producer, Lisa Vogel, wrote “I have a deep trust that each and every one of us can take what we have experienced on that Land and continue to create space that feeds our spirit, creates diverse community, honors our experience and supports our struggle as womyn making our way through the patriarchal world. Please take what you love about Michigan and use it to create something new and beautiful.”

We’ll be leading these workshops for the Circle of Music conference:

Music: The Voice of Justice
We are moved by the sounds. We are inspired by the messages. Sing and discuss, as we explore the places where music and progressive ideas meet.

Finding Harmony
Join us for an intuitive approach to learning to hear and experiment with harmony singing, in a playful and supportive environment. We’ll explore breathing, vocal warm-ups and that old time-honored tradition, listening.

Register here.

“Circle of Music is about the joy of creating music in community. Join us in a safe, supportive space that welcomes and affirms all musical abilities. The spirit of the Circle of Music arises directly from that joy and from the talents of each individual present. We hope you will join us as we explore our musical gifts, take risks performing for each other, support one another, and celebrate this time that we have together.”
